Beach fishing is one of the great attractions of Rainbow Beach. Catching fish goes hand in hand with a great holiday and that's where Rainbow Beach has it made. Fishing, in all its styles, is available right on our doorstep. Beach fishing has unlimited scope with nearly 100km of beach to choose from. Beach fishing yields dart, whiting, flathead, bream and taylor.

For the Rock fishing enthusiast, there are some big catches to be had off Double Island Point such as mackerel and kingfish.

Estuarine fishing in Tin Can Bay Inlet, through the Inskip Point area and up the Great Sandy Straits is perfect for those with a boat or the wish to hire one. Access is from the Carlo Point or Bullock Point boat ramp.

Excellent Reef Fishing is only a few miles off shore and charter trips can be arranged through various charter companies. The reefs off Rainbow yield Red Emporer, Sweet Lip, Snapper, Pearl Perch, Parrot and Coral Trout.

For those of you who love Crabs, be it sand crabs or muddies Tin Can Bay Inlet can give you a feed.
